About the role

Our client is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst (“FA”) to support the Corporate functions by driving critical initiatives, enabling key financial decisions, and collaborating with various partners. The FA will play a strategic role by developing financial models and providing analytical insights to evaluate business opportunities. Responsibilities include budgeting and forecasting for corporate functions, forecasting engineering investments, headcount reconciliation, and conducting ad hoc analyses such as spend efficiency and initiative ROI. This role will also involve assisting with creating total company financial deliverables by consolidating work-product from business unit finance teams. Additionally, the FA will be expected to drive innovation to enhance planning and forecasting tools and processes.

How you will make an impact

  • Collaborate with Engineering and Corporate business functions, and finance team members to create high-quality expense forecasts and evaluate financial and productivity performance
  • Forecast Engineering investments, operating and capital expenditures, and provide analyses of quarterly variances to forecasts with risks and opportunities
  • Support Corporate Finance and Accounting in the close process to ensure proper accounting treatment of capitalized labor process and expense coding
  • Source information for Engineering spend from key applications across the company and build accurate and scalable systems while considering efficiency and process
  • Utilize research and complex financial modeling to inform business strategy and evaluate key initiatives for strategic recommendations to the Executive Team
  • Prepare presentations and other financial materials for leadership discussions to evaluate different aspects of the business and drive strategic conversations
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and areas for process and/or reporting improvements

What you will bring to the role

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or other related analytical roles
  • Excellent verbal, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate complex ideas to a lay audience
  • Analytical mindset, a problem solver, with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing, entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong teamwork skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in various situations
  • Capability to prioritize tasks, work well with minimal supervision, and manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; working knowledge of Adaptive Planning, NetSuite, SQL, and Looker is preferred
