Wood has been awarded a major project with ADNOC and, we are looking to hire a Senior HSE Designer to be based at our Abu Dhabi Engineering Center.
RESPONSIBILITIES
– Assist the Lead Engineer in completing and implementing design projects in accordance with agreed-upon quality standards, costs, and timeliness.
– Knowledge of basic engineering processes
– Familiarity with international codes, standards and engineering practices
– Thorough knowledge of onshore/offshore design engineering for the oil, gas and water fields.
– To provide designs and check to ensure they are accurate and in line with defined requirements.
– Hands-on experience on the following HSE deliverables
– Hazardous Area Classification Layouts
– Fire & Gas Detector Layouts
– Fire Protection and Life-saving Equipment layout
– Passive Fire Proofing Layouts
– Escape Route and Safety Sign Layouts
– Piping & Instrumentation diagrams
– Process Flow Diagrams
– Coordinating with other centres / Safety Engineers for layout drafting
– Coordinate / Liaise with Consultants, Clients, on all client-related changes and comments and ensure approvals and consequent incorporation in the design.
– To support the Lead Engineer in completing design projects on time and within budget.
– To provide support in agreeing on the project brief, establishing timelines, delegating tasks, and monitoring the project’s progress.
– Ensure design compliance in line with best practices, BU requirements and Company policies and procedures
– To guide junior staff in design processes and technical matters
– Monitor the performance of their team members to ensure the design’s correctness, completeness, and compliance with the scope of work requirements.
Requirements:
– Diploma of Engineering (Preferable)
– Minimum 5 years of Oil & Gas Design Experience.
– Working experience in AutoCAD and Microstation
