As a Senior Lead Engineer – Generative AI Infrastructure, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our AI capabilities. Working within our innovative cloud infrastructure, you’ll collaborate with talented engineers and AI researchers to design and implement groundbreaking solutions that drive real-time, intelligent customer experiences.

Responsibilities

Spearhead the development of large-scale distributed training clusters and deploy advanced AI models for real-time applications.

Design fault-tolerant infrastructure to ensure the reliability of long-running training tasks, utilizing containerization and checkpointing technologies.

Architect and optimize runtime infrastructure for serving complex machine learning models in our public cloud environment.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deploy search indexes and embeddings, enhancing our AI capabilities.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.

Minimum of 8 years’ experience in designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, Scala, or Java.

Familiarity with HPCs, vector embedding, or semantic search technologies.

Experience in building, scaling, and optimizing training or inference systems for deep neural networks.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a similar field.

Background in machine learning with expertise in large-scale training and deployment of deep neural networks.

Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Lightning, or Mosaic ML.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity, competing priorities, and tight deadlines.

Previous experience at technology-driven companies or startups is advantageous.

Strong collaboration skills, enabling rapid iteration with researchers and engineers to enhance product experiences.
