Responsibilities:
- Manage teams of technical experts, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Leverage strong technical background and experience to lead complex projects, make critical technical decisions, and steer the teams towards a direction that aligns with high-level department objectives and strategic goals.
- Take ownership of ensuring the high quality of technical solutions and documentation produced by the teams.
- Establish collaboration frameworks with external vendors and partners, ensuring high quality of delivery and adherence to Core42 policies.
- Work closely with product, program management, security, and other internal stakeholders to ensure delivery of platforms and features within project timelines.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, reporting on progress, sharing the strategic vision, and integrating feedback into the existing practices.
- Develop and execute a clear strategy for platform technology that aligns with organizational objectives and promotes efficient delivery cycles.
- Continuously evaluate and improve existing processes to enhance speed, efficiency, and quality.
- Participate in Platform and Architecture Review Board and other internal forums, providing insights and recommendations to ensure alignment with organizational technology goals and standards.
- Establish metrics and performance targets to measure the success and quality of solutions. Drive improvement initiatives, and regularly report on progress to senior management.
- Drive the adoption of IT service management (ITSM) best practices and frameworks within the Platform Technology teams, collaborate with the Process Excellence team to optimize engineering, architecture, support and delivery processes, workflows, and procedures.
Ensure compliance of the teams to the guidelines defined by division/department such as, HR, legal, security, compliance, risk and quality assurance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technology field.
- Proven experience in managing and leading Engineering teams.
- 5+ years in managerial role overseeing a team of 10+ members with demonstrable successful team delivery.
- Strong technical background with 10+ years in a technical role within Operations, Engineering, and/or Architecture in mission-critical production environments.
- Ability to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate and coordinate with team members and stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of systems and network infrastructure engineering and operations principles with focus on Cloud and/or HPC.
- Ability to manage and prioritize a diverse and challenging workload in a dynamic environment.
- Experience with building monitoring, observability, and incident response capabilities.
- Strong understanding of organizational processes and extensive experience in implementing new procedures within a company.
- Capability to synchronize strategies and achieve consensus across different organizational departments.
- Demonstrated proficiency in fostering teamwork and cultivating a positive team culture.
- Solid understanding of security standards and best practices, proven track record of compliance certifications implementation.
