Position Overview:

The Lead Product Designer at JoBins plays a pivotal role in steering the product design journey from concept to launch. This role offers the unique opportunity to mold the strategic direction of our products, collaborating closely with Engineering, Marketing, Customer Support and Sales to create solutions that are both innovative and market-leading. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, possesses a blend of creative and strategic thinking, and is passionate about delivering exceptional user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Spearhead the product design process, from initial research and ideation through to prototyping, user testing, and final production.
• Take the lead in defining product visions and strategies, ensuring they align with user needs and business goals.
• Foster strong collaborative relationships with Engineering to ensure design feasibility and with Marketing to guarantee that product designs enhance brand strategy and meet market requirements.
• Conduct and incorporate comprehensive market and user research to guide design decisions and product directions.
• Cultivate a deep understanding of user journeys and personas, integrating these insights into design practices and product development.
• Lead and mentor the design team, promoting a culture of creativity, innovation, and excellence.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in the design process.
• Champion a user-centered design approach across the company, advocating for design thinking and user experience excellence in every product initiative.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, HCI, or a closely related field, complemented by 7+ years of product design experience.
• An impressive portfolio that showcases a broad range of design skills and project types, demonstrating both creative and strategic thinking.
• Proven leadership skills with experience guiding design projects and teams through the full product lifecycle.
• Expertise in the latest design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, sketch etc.).
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities, experienced in working alongside multiple departments to achieve a unified product vision.
• Strategic mindset, capable of integrating user needs, technical possibilities, and business objectives into compelling design solutions.
