A market leader in its field is looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager (home-based) to join its strategy team. The successful candidate will work in a stand-alone capacity, supporting a wide range of projects and initiatives, including the opening of new locations/premises as well as business improvement opportunities.

Your role will be to ensure the success of critical strategic projects by providing high quality project management to the Executive Team and other project members and stakeholders. The work will be varied and involve working with many different teams across the business.

You’ll be expected to maintain and monitor project plans, project schedules, budgets and expenditure, identifying key dependencies and ensuring project deadlines are met. You will also ensure project documentation is up to date and accessible to project stakeholders and be responsible for communicating project progress on a regular basis. This communication will involve setting up and running project meetings, producing tracking documents, and highlighting risks, deadlines and other issues as required.

Successful Candidates Are Likely To Demonstrate

  • At least 5 years previous experience as a Project Manager
  • Prince2 / APMP qualifications or similar or willingness to study
  • Experience of opening of new locations/premises highly advantageous
  • Project budget tracking experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent relationship management skills across a range of stakeholders at varying levels both internal and external
  • Dependable attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Teams
  • Excellent prioritisation, time management and workload management skills. Ability to cope under pressurised deadlines.
  • Ability to work across organisational and geographic boundaries in developing collaborative approaches.
  • Whilst the role is home-based, candidates will need to be willing and able to travel regularly to sites across the UK (which may occasionally require overnight stays)
