Senior Salesforce Developer (Remote)

Gainwell Technologies is looking for a Salesforce.com Application Support Developer to join our team. We are looking for a team player who enjoys brainstorming solutions. Our Salesforce instance focuses primarily on Marketing, Sales and Client Management as well as integrating to other external systems. We are continuously looking to evolve our connectivity to other systems and improve our current Application development.
We are looking for someone who is a self-starter and encourage learning best practices for future development. This role comes with the opportunity to absorb knowledge and grow as a developer. This role will report to our Enterprise Applications Team and will work closely with the Sales Operations team for project priority.

Essential Job Functions

• Perform root cause analysis on issues that lead to implementation of processes to prevent repetitive issues.
• Assist in prioritization of enhancement and defect resolution.
• Design and develop emergency patches to address critical production issues.
• Research problem tickets to resolve data, setup, and code issues to provide responsive correction of issues.
• Assist with each release cycle to implement and deploy new/updates to existing applications and code,
• Develop Apex (classes and triggers), Lightning Components, and Visualforce to extend Salesforce in order to support business requirements,
• Manage third party components used in the different MFI Applications.
• Manage third party components used by API Connections.
• Work on projects to better improve Production Support model and processes.
• Interact with internal business customers, operation personnel, and development groups in troubleshooting and correction of issues.
• Maintain knowledge base documentation.
• Monitor automated system alerts, log files, and other monitoring tool output.
• Working with integrated applications used by the business.
• End User Testing and Development of End User Testing Scenarios.
• Striving towards coding best practices and data quality,
• Supporting the Salesforce Administrative team.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred
• Salesforce product knowledge and at least 10 years of Salesforce development experience
• Demonstrates continued personal/professional development.
• Active in the Salesforce community.
• Salesforce.com Certification of Platform Developer I and II (or working to certify Developer II within 6 months of hire date.
• Additional Salesforce certifications e.g. Certified Salesforce Administrator, Certified Javascript Developer
• Experience implementing and developing in Apex, Visualforce, and Javascript.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Competency in HTML, XML, Flex, ASP, SQL, Java or C++, REST and SOAP-based web services.
• Familiarity with developing on other cloud platforms, such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services.
• Understanding of MS SQL Server or other relational databases including stored procedure development.
• Proficient in the use and application of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
• Contribution to open-source projects, or personal projects in a good state of development.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and create technical documentation.
• Strong communication skills
