Job Description
Fastbridge is an award-winning research-based assessment solution. The Fastbridge platform and integrations engineering team is the backbone of this product, providing integrated solutions that enhance customer experience and connecting with the greater suite of Renaissance products.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will:
- Own projects, from design to deployment, leveraging the power of the team to provide quality solutions in a timely manner
- Solution provider mindset, capable of analyzing complex issues and breaking them down into multiple deliverables with little guidance
- Identify risks and tradeoffs and provide clear communication about potential impediments
- Support the team through code reviews, and all agile ceremonies
- Contribute to software development best practices
- Communicate effectively within the team and be a bridge to our product counterparts
Qualifications
For this role as a Senior Software Engineer, you should have:
- 7+ years of Java development experience
- 3+ years building solutions using Spring frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Spring Security)
- 2+ years hands on experience in AWS services like EC2, S3, SNS, SQS, Lambda, ECS, Fargate, Route 53, Dynamo DB, RDS
- Experience developing modern frontend technologies such as TypeScript, VueJS, React, Angular
- Experience building microservice solutions
Bonus points for:
- Ed tech industry experience
- Experience writing unit tests in frameworks like Groovy, Spock, Geb
- Experience building event-driven architectures
- Experience writing automation or load tests using tools like Jmeter, K6
- Experience developing in other languages such as Python, Ruby, or PHP
Additional Information
Salary Range: $109,000 – $164,200. This range is based on national market data and may vary by location.
