About the role

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in:

• Core Application Development: Design and maintain the backbone of Depasify’s platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and high performance.
• System Scalability and Reliability: Optimize infrastructure and backend systems to handle increasing transaction volumes with resilience and efficiency.
• Integration Projects: Work on integrations with third-party tools and systems, supporting our platform’s connectivity and extensibility.
• Monitoring and Audit Tools: Develop and integrate tools for monitoring, logging, and auditing to improve operational visibility and reliability.
• Code Quality and Process Improvement: Contribute to improving codebases, development methodologies, and engineering practices to maintain high standards of quality.

You’d Be a Great Match If You:

• Have 5+ years of experience in backend development, ideally in fintech or high-volume transactional environments.
• Are proficient in Ruby and Ruby on Rails, or have experience with similar languages/frameworks and a strong willingness to learn.
• Have a deep understanding of scalable systems and experience with infrastructure optimization.
• Are familiar with system-level concepts such as databases, caching, and cloud environments.
• Have experience working on integrations with third-party services and APIs.
• Understand the importance of monitoring and observability tools and have experience implementing them.
• Communicate fluently in English; Spanish is a plus.
