Why this role matters

The Global Wholesale Team, which sits within the Vonage Carrier Management Team, is responsible for our global SMS wholesale business. Managing our aggregator and partner relationships, the team supports one of the fastest-growing CPaaS companies in the market through procurement and driving volume and revenue growth in key markets. The team works closely with our regional Carrier, Operations and Enterprise sales teams to develop and implement regional strategic plans.

As a high-growth team, expansion is needed to ensure continued success. We seek to recruit an experienced Wholesale “Global Messaging” Account Manager to manage our wholesale customers. This is critical in supporting Vonage’s SMS growth taking ownership of the development and strategy of our global wholesale business. This role will align with our Carrier, Sales, and Operations teams, coordinating market intelligence and developing regional procurement strategy to ensure we have a market-leading cost base and quality of service.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive growth in our wholesale business – responsible for the management, revenue growth and strategic direction of our A2P SMS wholesale business.
  • New business and partnerships – hunting and onboarding of new suppliers. Nurturing and developing partnerships with key regional players.
  • Regional strategy – collaborate with the Enterprise sales and Carrier teams to coordinate strategy, supporting the delivery of regional financial goals and new market development.
  • Key account support – assisting the retail sales team in developing the A2P relationships on large enterprise accounts.
  • Service delivery – working closely with Support and Routing teams to meet customer quality requirements.

Supporting bids & RFPs – cost delivery for tailored solutions for critical deals and large digital natives.

What Is Required For Application

  • Experience in the SMS A2P market: wholesale, carrier relations or business development.
  • Expert knowledge of the messaging ecosystem, key players and market dynamics.
  • A network of contacts in the global A2P messaging industry.
  • Experience working on international projects and initiatives.
  • Proven track record of SMS business development.
  • Hands-on proactive attitude, with a desire to make a difference.
