Service Delivery TechnicianDescription

We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented virtual technician to join our managed IT services team. In this role, you will work remotely to provide a variety of technical services and support to our clients.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years experience as a systems or network administrator, with expertise across multiple operating systems and platforms, and a strong customer service orientation. Experience in the Managed Services industry is highly valued as well. This is an excellent opportunity to leverage your technical talents to have a real impact while working remotely.

This is for 20-40 hrs/wk, PT-ET, at least 1 hr outside of PT hours daily. You hours will increase as your skills are proven, up to full time.

Skills, Knowledge, Experience

  • Familiarity with IT processes: deployment, troubleshooting, ticketing, documentation, best practices, cybersecurity
  • A+, Network+, and/or MCSA level certifications
  • Basic cybersecurity knowledge including secure by design IT approaches
  • Experience working in multi-tenant MSP environments is highly desirable

  • Ubiquiti
  • Comet Backups
  • Axcient Backups

Tasks

  • Onboarding new clients by conducting technology audits, documenting existing IT environments, installing monitoring agents, and ensuring full integration with our systems
  • Migrating client technology infrastructure and data to new systems or platforms as needed, with a focus on minimizing downtime
  • Creating and updating documentation like network diagrams, asset inventories, configuration records, and standard operating procedures
  • Performing periodic maintenance checks and applying updates to ensure client systems remain optimized and secure
  • Monitoring client systems proactively from our network operations center (NOC) and remediating issues quickly to maintain uptime
  • Providing some Level 2-3 help desk technical support when needed to troubleshoot issues for clients
  • Maintaining strong client relationships and communicating progress clearly and frequently
  • Recommending changes to and optimizing the PSA and the RMM with automations and workflows.
  • Troubleshooting wordpress and LAMP server issues as well as other open source software.
