Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Backend Support Engineer with expertise in serverless architecture and modern development practices to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and scaling backend services, ensuring seamless integration of serverless technologies like AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and Step Functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and Maintain Backend Services: Build, deploy, and maintain serverless backend applications using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and Step Functions.
• Node.js Development: Implement high-quality backend solutions using Node.js with asynchronous programming patterns, Express.js, and the AWS SDK.
• Database Management: Design and manage NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or DynamoDB for optimal performance and scalability.
• Refactoring Monolithic Applications: Migrate and refactor existing monolithic applications into a serverless architecture.
• Implement Serverless Best Practices: Ensure scalability, cost optimization, and adherence to serverless design principles.
• CI/CD and DevOps Integration: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate deployment workflows, and manage testing environments for serverless applications.
• Testing and Monitoring: Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure reliability and monitor application performance proactively.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proficiency in AWS serverless technologies: AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and Step Functions.
• Strong experience in Node.js, including asynchronous programming, Express.js, and AWS SDK integrations.
• Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB or DynamoDB.
• Expertise in serverless architecture design and implementation.
• Experience in refactoring monolithic applications to serverless environments.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and DevOps practices for serverless applications.
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with other AWS services like S3, CloudWatch, and IAM.
• Knowledge of performance monitoring tools and serverless cost optimization.
• Understanding of security best practices in serverless architectures.
