Job Description

Position Summary:

The Senior Project Manager will oversee multiple special projects within Nomi Network’s global programs, ensuring successful execution of research initiatives, stakeholder engagements, and other mission-critical efforts. This role requires strong project management skills, including coordination, collaboration with internal and external teams, and management of contractors. The Senior Project Manager will report regularly to senior leadership and lead the project management on several concurrent projects under the Global Programs portfolio.

Status: Exempt

Travel: Will be required to travel domestically or internationally approximately 4-5 times per year

Salary: $78,000 – $82,000

Responsibilities

Project Coordination & Management:

  • Manage 3-4 active projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines, objectives, and deliverables are met.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for project teams and external contractors.
  • Coordinate regular check-ins with project stakeholders to track progress and ensure accountability.
  • Troubleshoot project challenges, identifying solutions and escalating issues as necessary to keep projects on track.
  • Assist in organizing and managing convenings of internal and external stakeholders as needed for projects
  • Manage communications between internal teams, contractors, and external partners, ensuring smooth information flow.
  • Monitor and track project budgets, making sure all expenditures align with the scope of work and funding guidelines.
  • Assist with the management of special projects tied to global program grants, ensuring project activities align with grant requirements and timelines.
  • Support the development and submission of grant reports, ensuring all program outcomes and financials are documented.
  • Work with team members to develop new project ideas and proposals, ensuring scalability and alignment with Nomi Network’s mission.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Oversee the preparation of monthly or quarterly reports to senior leadership, consolidating updates from various projects and activities.
  • Track progress on all assigned projects, ensuring timely submission of updates and reports.
  • Maintain project documentation, including meeting minutes, reports, and communications, in shared systems like Google Drive or Slack.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership, highlighting achievements, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Develop clear timelines and project plans, ensuring that all team members and contractors are aware of deadlines and deliverables.

Required Meetings

  • Weekly meeting with VP of Global Operations (virtual).
  • Weekly meeting with Global Programs team.
  • Weekly HQ Team Meeting (virtual).
  • 4-5 domestic and/or international trips per year for in-person meetings.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in project management, preferably in nonprofit or international development settings.
  • Strong familiarity with international nonprofit program.
  • Experience with grants management or working with contractors is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer in a home office environment.
  • Ability to travel 4-5 times per year to domestic or international destinations for in-person meetings, retreats, or staff events, which may involve extended periods of walking, standing, and carrying luggage or materials.
  • Must have reliable internet access and an appropriate workspace for remote work.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through virtual platforms, including the use of video conferencing and digital communication tools.
