Sr Staff Engineer Electrical (Remote)

The Senior Staff Engineer will travel to various PCA locations to support projects across the organization, both in manufacturing plants and paper mills. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience, 5+ years in industrial paper and/or corrugating, or design engineering environment. This is a hands-on position, working side-by-side with the leaders, craft, and personnel to drive the projects to completion. It’s an exciting opportunity for anyone that wants to make an impact on the organization, while working with the best team in the industry!

General Requirements

Bachelor of Science: Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology

10+ years as an Electrical Engineer, Electrical Manufacturing Engineer, or Electrical Field Tech Support

• Paper Mill or Box Plant Experience is a plus
• Converting Machine Installation Experience is a plus

Required Experience:

• Project Management – Be Part of a Project Team

• Excellent Communications Skills
• Manage Budgets and Schedules

• MSProject Experience is a plus
• AutoCAD Experience is a plus

Develop Scope of Work Documents for:

• New Installations, Greenfield and Brownfield
• Rebuild Projects Supporting all Aspects of Electrical Installation
• Lead Bid Walks and Reviews

Manage Contractors

Specification and Installation of Power Distribution Equipment – 480V Switchboards/Panels

AC/DC Motors and Drives- Troubleshooting, Maintenance Start-up

480V Motor Control Center Specification and Installation

Variable Frequency Drives: Siemens, Rockwell PowerFlex Drives

General Knowledge of PLC’s and Controls Troubleshooting

• ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix, PLC5 families; Siemens PLC
• PLC Controls Design – Hardware and Software
• Operator Interface: Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk View, PanelView
• General knowledge of IT Systems and Network Infrastructure

Good Working Knowledge of the NEC and NPFA-70E

Live anywhere in Continental US within a reasonable commute to a Commercial Airport

Travel 70-80%
