We are currently seeking a full-time Staff Cloud Engineer. The Staff Cloud Engineer will work directly with the Director of Services to ensure our cloud platform is well architected. You will be looked to as a subject matter expert for our tech stack and project work task escalations for the team. In addition, you will be actively involved in the decision making process for grooming, sizing tickets, establishing realistic project timelines, and coaching other team members.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Tech Lead for 3-5 professional services and/or managed services projects simultaneously
• Work with cross-functional teams such as project management and delivery to communicate project deliverable timelines, identification of resource needs, and scope changes needed, and identify opportunities in project work to expand upon the existing solution to further benefit the client
• Coaching and mentoring multiple team members through multiple project completions Participate in early-stage opportunity qualification calls, as well as lead client-facing technical discussions for established projects
• Be able to work independently, but should be a major participant in team reviews.
• Ensure the best architecture and engineering approach is applied. You will be expected to repeatedly deliver complex projects and will be the owner of the complete customer outcome, including complex technical components of the engagement.

Requirements

• One of the following certifications (already obtained or acquired within the first 90 days of employment):

• Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect,
• Data Engineer Professional,
• Cloud Security Engineer Professional,
• Cloud Network Engineer Professional,
• Machine Learning Engineer Professional.

Prior experience leading a team of engineers remotely with great success

Ability to provide innovative architectural solutions to client requests for design and implementation through their cloud journey.

Good understanding of agile and development methodologies

Deep knowledge in innovative technologies to provide insight on the advantages and disadvantages of technology solutions

Extensive knowledge of the services offered by 2 of 3 AWS, GCP, and Azure cloud platforms and how they can be used to provide a stable cloud solution for customers

Need to be a subject matter expert in Terraform and Kubernetes

Ability to pick up new technologies quickly and continuously expanding knowledge via certifications

Effective communicator with a focus on client facing communications

Experience writing SOWs is a huge plus
