Job Description

We are currently seeking a Technical Project Manager to join our Data Engineering department. This role presents a unique opportunity to be part of a mission-driven organization at the forefront of transforming the energy landscape. As a Technical Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing data engineering projects and providing agile coaching. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in data engineering and excel in communication, negotiation, and project management.

Responsibilities

Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of data engineering projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables.

Facilitate project meetings and provide regular progress reports to stakeholders and leadership.

Prioritize and manage business requests using Kanban methodology.

Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.

Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.

Establish monitoring and support processes to enhance the reliability of the data engineering platform.

Communicate project status updates, milestones, and dependencies to internal and external stakeholders.

Promote a culture of continuous improvement by implementing best practices and methodologies.

Qualifications And Skills

Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

3-5 years of experience in a related field, preferably as a business analyst or project manager for a data-oriented team.

Proficiency in data engineering tools and technologies, including data warehousing, ETL processes, and database management systems.

Familiarity with ERDs/UML process maps for data modeling.

Experience with agile project management methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate cross-functional teams.

Exceptional Problem-solving Abilities And Analytical Skills.

Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or relevant certifications.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems).
