Mission
CenTrak is seeking an experienced Project Manager, responsible for managing projects for Real-Time Location products. This is an opportunity to join a world-class team. You will be working in a highly collaborative environment, coordinating with a cross-functional team from engineering, product development, operations, and customer support to deliver an outstanding product. The person filling this position must be pro-active and possess a desire to succeed in a challenging environment. Strong leadership, communications, and team-building skills are essential. Software, wireless and manufacturing industry experience is desired.
Responsibilities
- Project administration: creation of project charters, kick off presentations, weekly meetings, action items logs, risk and change management, project timelines and status dashboards, gate reviews, creation and maintenance of organizational process assets, resource scheduling, etc.
- Take lead of project planning activities. As the project manager, you will assume full accountability of the outcome and revenue associated with your projects. You will need to lead with passion and act as if it were your own business.
- Define roles and responsibilities. Ensure project stakeholders understand what is expected of them and others.
- Manage project priorities and perform risk management; apply proactive and routine approach in tracking progress against commitments.
- Provide clear and timely project communication internally and to the client.
- Encourage stakeholder involvement and accountability, drive ownership of decisions and actions.
- Enforce change control to prevent scope creep and ensure proper management of communication and quality around approved or rejected changes.
- Recognize and manage potential problems; escalate issues through the proper path and gather the right people together to drive resolution with a proper sense of urgency.
- Apply Lessons Learned from previous projects and use them to inform new projects
- Promote good working relationships with clients and within CenTrak; serve as a dependable role model.
- Initiate, own and execute cross-functional process improvement
- Provide mentoring to team members; be a teacher and a helper
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required , specifically in Engineering or Computer Science
- 3+ years previous project management within hardware or software experience required
- Six Sigma, ISO or PMP Certification are a plus
- Previous experience managing high-profile projects
- Experience with managing, implementing, and supporting projects with hardware and software
- Smartsheet (or equivalent) experience
- Salesforce (or equivalent) experience
- Microsoft Teams (or equivalent) experience
- Ability to travel within region to sites that require on-site kick off or routine site visits
- 10-15% Required Travel.
- Travel necessary for IDN Kickoff, New Customers, Upon Customer Requests, and forlarge customer “Go Lives”.
