About The Job
Liquid Death is looking for an experienced Tradespend Manager. This role is expected to optimize and effectively utilize Vividly, our Trade Promotion Management system. The Tradespend Manager will work cross functionally with the sales and finance teams as they manage the Vividly system, trade accrual and reversal process, monthly trade spend KPIs, and the development of our Trade Deduction Analyst(s). The Tradespend Manager is expected to work closely with the Accounts Receivable team to ensure deduction data is accurate, verifying credit memos and reconciling the Tradespend Clearing and Tradespend Accrual accounts. This role is also responsible for resolving trade planning discrepancies with the sales team and leading our deduction dispute process. This is a remote role that will report directly to the Assistant Controller.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Sales to ensure planned volume and spend is accurately represented in the Vividly System
- Support timely and accurate data entry and maintenance of trade promotions in Vividly
- Maintain precise trade accruals
- Develop a reporting toolkit/scorecard for the assessment of trade KPIs
- Prepare monthly reconciliations for trade GL Accounts
- Work closely with the Deduction Analyst(s) to ensure all trade spend and deduction information is accurately recorded
- Manage outsourced resources assisting with validating trade deductions
- Build and maintain solid business relationships with internal and external partners
- Develop and maintain the deduction dispute process
- Prepare ad-hoc reports for the CFO and Controller
- Support the financial audit process as needed
- Lead and/or participate in special projects as required
Knowledge, Skills, & Experience
- 5+ years of relevant Tradespend Management experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is preferred
- Trade Management System experience is required; knowledge of Vividly Trade Spend Management Solution is preferred
- Experience with ERP systems is required; NetSuite is a plus.
- Experience with Excel (Pivot tables, Lookups, Index, etc) required
- Prior experience with CPG is required; beverage industry is a plus
- Prior experience working with a DSD network is preferred but not required
- Prior experience working with the VIP platform is a plus
- A proactive, self-directed approach with the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to leverage technology for efficient data gathering and analysis; comfortable with digesting large sets of data and preparing analysis
- Ability to manage deadlines, pivot and prioritize work, and accurately process data under time constraints
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Instrumental in developing standardized tools, methodologies and business processes aimed at improving TPM efficiencies to meet current and future business needs
The typical salary range for this position is: $109,000 – $130,000
