Roles And Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing technical and financial aspects of power delivery projects, managing and developing client relationships, and marketing POWER’s power delivery services to existing and new clients in the respective region. Other responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:
- Promote company culture and manage internal and external relationships
- Manage status reporting, invoicing, accounts receivable and unbilled for each project
- Collaborate with project design teams
- Provide leadership and mentoring to the project team
- Develop & maintain schedules, lead/participate in project meetings with project teams, oversee budgets, participate in proposal preparation, take leading role in client relationships
- Work primarily with Power Delivery, but may also interface with other POWER divisions based on the nature of any particular project
- This position will primarily have local travel to regional clients
- Demonstrated project management skills should include CPM scheduling, budget and cost analysis, managing project teams, as well as proposal writing, client marketing, and project presentations
Required Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in an engineering discipline or engineering management required
- PE registration or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Ten (10) + years’ applicable industry experience
- Five (5) + years’ relevant project management experience
- Relevant experience includes small- to medium-scale project management, or project lead engineering experience on projects
- Knowledge and experience with project management processes and tools
- Intimate knowledge of high voltage transmission line design principles and transmission line project management experience
- Proficiency with financial analysis tools in a utility setting
- Experience in project management controls area
Desired Education/Experience
- Seven (7) + years’ project management experience preferred
- Experience in transmission line design and management preferred
- Familiarity with regional utilities in the respective region
