Veriday Inc. is looking for an experienced UI/UX Designer to join our growing company for full-time employment. You will be responsible for gathering and translating user requirements/insights into accessible and usable interface experiences. You’ll craft both functional and visually appealing features that address our client’s needs by leveraging your creativity, technical knowledge and eye for design.
On a day-to-day basis, you would be collaborating with a product manager and our development team. As a key member of the creative team, you will deliver UI mockups, prototypes, minimum viable products (MVPs), and final products. In this role, you’ll have the privilege of being the voice of our customers, by translating their needs into user-friendly designs and satisfying the overall user-experience.
This is a remote position, and the candidate can be based anywhere in India.
What you will do: –
- Conduct comprehensive user research to gather insights and understand client requirements effectively.
- Transform user needs into seamless, intuitive, and visually appealing product interfaces.
- Design low and high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes using Figma (mandatory), with optional use of Adobe XD when needed.
- Ensure designs adhere to web accessibility standards (WCAG A, AA), creating inclusive and compliant interfaces and layouts.
- Present design concepts, mockups, and prototypes clearly to clients and internal teams, integrating feedback to enhance outcomes.
- Collaborate actively in brainstorming sessions, contributing innovative solutions to refine designs and address challenges.
What you need to succeed:-
- A bachelor’s degree in Design with at least 3 – 5 years of hands-on experience with industry-standard design tools, including Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- A minimum of 3 years applying UX principles, best practices, and user research methodologies, including information architecture and translating research insights into actionable mockups.
- Proven ability to recommend simple, accessible, and effective design solutions for complex user requirements.
- At least 3 years of practical experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in a professional environment; familiarity with additional web technologies is advantageous.
- Proficient in WCAG standards, with the ability to identify and remediate accessibility issues flagged by tools or clients.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills, coupled with a keen eye for detail.
- Passionate about improving UI/UX skills, with a commitment to continuous learning.
- Familiarity with tools like JIRA to track progress and manage tasks.
- Familiar with content management systems (CMS) and digital asset management (DAM) platforms.
- A customer-focused approach, with the ability to make decisive choices and adapt to changing project requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating ideas clearly to clients and collaborating effectively with team members.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in French is considered an asset.
- Must be available to work within the Eastern Standard Time zone (9 AM to 5 PM EST) for client meetings via Zoom or Google Meet.
We provide a competitive salary, a comfortable work environment, and the opportunity to collaborate with a team of talented professionals. If this role aligns with your skills and aspirations, we invite you to apply.
