We are looking for a motivated UI/UX Designer Trainee to join our team and grow with us. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about user experience and interface design, with a desire to develop their skills in a professional environment. The ideal candidate will have some foundational knowledge of UI/UX principles, a willingness to learn, and an interest in building a strong portfolio while working closely with experienced designers, product managers, and developers.
Key Responsibilities:
Learning and Development: Work closely with senior designers to learn and apply UI/UX best practices, tools, and techniques.
Assisting in User Research: Support the team in conducting user research, including interviews and usability tests, to understand user needs and behaviors.
Wireframing and Prototyping: Assist in creating wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to communicate design ideas effectively under the guidance of senior designers.
UI Design: Help design user interfaces that are visually appealing and aligned with the brand, learning how to enhance the overall user experience.
UX Design: Assist in creating user flows, navigation, and interactions, with mentorship from senior team members to ensure a smooth user journey.
Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and assist in integrating feedback into designs.
User Testing: Participate in usability tests and assist in gathering feedback to iterate and improve designs.
Design Standards: Learn how to maintain design systems, style guides, and component libraries to ensure consistency across products.
Requirements:
Education: A degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent foundational knowledge through self-study or coursework.
Skills: Basic understanding of design tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or Sketch. An interest in learning front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
Knowledge: A foundational understanding of user-centered design principles and a willingness to learn about usability and accessibility best practices.
Communication: Good communication skills, with an eagerness to learn how to present design ideas clearly to the team.
Problem-Solving: A desire to learn problem-solving skills and how to think critically about design challenges.
Teamwork: Willingness to work in a collaborative environment and take direction from senior team members.
Preferred Qualifications:
Some experience with tools like Zeplin, InVision, or Figma (internships, projects, or coursework).
A passion for continuous learning and staying updated on design trends.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $25,000.00 – $30,000.00 per month
