Location: 1 day required in London office Salary : up to £82,000 Contract : Full time, permanent The opportunity: The successful candidate will join the Group Tax team and assist with the management of the Group’s UK and International tax compliance requirements. In addition, you will support the broader Group Tax function in other areas as required, such tax risk and governance, and project work. You will also have some responsibility for managing a junior member of the team. Key Roles: Assist with the preparation and submission of UK Corporation tax (CT) returns to HMRC. Assist with the UK Corporate Interest Restriction (CIR) calculation and return. Ensure ongoing compliance with UK tax rules such as Controlled Foreign Company (CFC) and the Disregard Regulations and implement new processes as required. Manage the Group’s Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR) process. Assist with the preparation of Transfer Pricing (TP) Master File and the UK Local File. Manage and oversee overseas tax compliance for Group managed entities and investments including Singapore, India, and Saudi Arabia. Provide support and oversight to Group and Market Unit (MU) Tax teams on international aspects relevant for both UK and overseas tax computations and reporting (for example cross border loan relationships). Provide support with the planning and implementation of systems solutions as well as managing the Group’s future compliance obligations arising from BEPS Pillar II. Monitor and oversee all Local TP File reporting, CbCR notifications, and overseas compliance obligations. Support the Tax Reporting Manager with the preparation of the quarterly tax charge for Group entities, using the tax reporting software CCH Global Integrator (GI). Assist with tax reporting requirements at half-year and year-end, including the preparation of tax disclosures for Group Statutory Accounts. Work alongside the wider team on the end-to-end production of the year-end consolidated tax charge as well as associated disclosures in Statutory Accounts. Assist the Tax Reporting Manager in preparing the forecast tax charge for Group entities for each forecast/plan period. Qualification and Skills: Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CTA) with financial accounting background and experience of CT gained in a multi-national group or large accounting firm. Good technical knowledge (both in UK and international tax) and ability/willingness to research relevant information and answers. Ability to critically review, challenge, and interpret data. Advanced Excel skills with the ability to interrogate, analyse, and map data. Experience of international tax compliance such as CbCR desired, but not essential. Confidence and ability to communicate effectively. A global mindset and customer orientation. A team player who can work effectively across different and diverse teams. Insurance experience useful, but not essential. Experience with tax reporting, compliance, and accounting consolidation software useful but not essential, as training will be provided.
