Job Overview
In the role of Contract UX Strategist, you will be pivotal in designing user experiences that are not only delightful but also functional, grounded in thorough qualitative and quantitative research. You will serve as the team’s leading authority on UX, influencing the strategic vision throughout the project lifecycle and ensuring alignment with client expectations and user objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive user research initiatives, from exploratory discovery to concept validation, incorporating Information Architecture (IA), surveys, tree testing, and user journey mapping.
- Evaluate research methodologies and derive actionable strategic insights to inform project direction.
- Collaborate closely with the Content team to integrate profound insights that merge UX and content strategies.
- Facilitate Discovery phases and UX workshops with clients to ensure clarity and alignment.
- Produce essential project deliverables, including user flows, journey maps, IA, sitemaps, and initial prototypes.
- Engage in marketing efforts by conducting webinars, participating in multimedia presentations, and representing the agency at industry events.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in UX strategy.
- At least 3 years of experience within an agency environment, with preference for those with remote or distributed team experience.
- A compelling portfolio that showcases your UX process and the outcomes achieved.
- Proficiency in articulating complex concepts clearly and effectively to clients.
- A proactive approach to provide insights across diverse project scopes.
- Strong professionalism, adaptability, and responsiveness to client needs.
- Ability to navigate multiple concurrent projects in a dynamic, multi-time-zone setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a commitment to constructive feedback.
- A curious mindset and initiative to explore and adapt to emerging tools and frameworks.
- A proven track record of delivering high-quality work while adhering to timelines and budget constraints.
Qualifications
Candidates must reside in and be eligible to work in North America. This position is contract-based and fully remote, with hourly compensation commensurate with experience.
