The Video Producer will shoot and edit videos for use on our website, social media, our YouTube channel, and elsewhere. This position reports to the Director of Global Story on the Marketing Team. The ideal candidate should have experience and expertise in corporate videography and video editing, including all technical requirements to film and edit videos from start to finish, as well as strong storytelling skills. Ideally the candidate is experienced filming and editing commercial quality, engaging videos that have performed well for other companies, as well as documentary-style content (two-camera interviews, etc).
Video examples must be provided with a description of what your contribution was to the production, the timeline for the content, and the impact it had on the business. The hiring process may include a paid video editing assignment to better see what you can do with specific directions and raw footage.
Requirements
- No less than 3-5 years’ experience as a video producer
- Experience marketing through video storytelling that aligns with a brand identity
- Fluent with the Adobe Creative Cloud (After Effects, Photoshop) and expert in Adobe Premiere
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to improve work based on feedback
- Ability to replicate established video templates/style with precision
- High creativity and willingness to look for new solutions to achieve company goals
- Ideate, sustain, and guide the creative process
- Ability to set-up lighting and film 2 -camera interviews with lav microphone by yourself (although we often have more than one person on shoots)
- Professional videography, video editing, and postproduction experience
- Strong understanding of video formatting, editing software, industry standards
- Experience crafting audio: editing music stems, sound design, and sound mixing
- Develop concepts that will help people better connect with our products and mission
- Experience with drones and photography a major plus
- Experience running livestreams also a major plus
Qualities You Should Have
- Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented individual committed to building and maintaining in-house video content creation
- Must be physically able to carry equipment and travel based on company needs
- Must be able to oversee all aspects of video production – including hiring freelancers when needed
- Must be able and willing to adapt to workflows established by your Director
- Ability to work on simultaneous projects with multiple groups in the company based on the specific video project (Marketing, Sales, Research and Development, etc.)
- Effective and consistent communication with colleagues
- Commitment to highest production quality on all projects
- Open to learning, dedicated to improving, committed to excellence
- An ability to self-edit and keep detailed and organized filing structures
- An outgoing and professional personality, especially around Executives, employees, and Brand Partners
- Located near Salt Lake City, Utah is a plus, but not required
