Web Product Designer (Remote)

What is Obinex?

Obinex is a Pre-Seed stage Startup on a mission to develop a Centralized exchange and a Blockchain

platform, both from scratch, utilizing gamification techniques and token yield to facilitate the adoption of a

secure, centralized economy in the decentralized ecosystem. As we are in a very early stage, the equity

offering is the only part of the compensation until we are funded (2 to 3 months).

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented and creative Web3 Product Designer to join our team and shape the future of

our blockchain-based products. As a web3 product designer at Obinex, you will play a crucial role in shaping

the look, feel and user experience for a truly revolutionary and innovative blockchain and crypto ecosystem,

where you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and senior

management, to bring impactful products to life.

What You’ll Do:

• Product Conceptualization: Define user needs and translate them into product concepts, leveraging Web3

and blockchain insights.

• User Research: Conduct user interviews, surveys, and usability testing to gather data on the pain points

and expectations of early adopters.

• Wireframing & Prototyping: Create low- and high-fidelity prototypes to iterate quickly on ideas and

solutions.

• UI/UX Design: Design seamless, secure, and intuitive user interfaces, considering the complexity of

FinTech and Web3 transactions.

• Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and the founding team to align on

product goals and prioritize features.

• Tokenomics & Crypto Integration: Design systems that incorporate token economics, digital wallets, and

decentralized finance (DeFi) principles.

• Compliance & Security Design: Ensure that designs meet regulatory and security requirements critical in

the FinTech space.

• User Education: Design tools or interfaces that simplify complex Web3 and FinTech concepts for end users, promoting adoption.

• Iterative Design: Continuously improve the product based on feedback, testing, and new Web3/FinTech

innovations.

• Branding: Develop a cohesive brand experience that communicates trust and innovation, essential in

early-stage FinTech startups.

What You Will Bring:

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role

• A Strong Design Portfolio: demonstrating vision, innovation and story-telling skills

• UI/UX Expertise: Proficiency in user-centric design processes, including wireframing, prototyping, and

creating user flows that simplify complex interactions.

• Design Tools: Expertise in design tools like Figma, Illustrator and Miro

• Design Systems: An in-depth understanding of creating design systems, ideally from scratch and how to

apply them, and how to effectively contribute to them

• User Research Skills: Ability to conduct user research, usability testing, and interpret data to inform

design decisions.

• Collaboration & Communication: Strong communication and teamwork skills to align with developers,

product managers, and stakeholders in an early-stage environment.

• Agility & Adaptability: Ability to work in fast-paced, uncertain environments and iterate quickly based on

feedback and changing priorities.

• A positive and resilient outlook: embracing input with a desire for continuous iteration

and improvement

• Equity: As a Pre-Seed Startup, the equity offering is the only part of the conversation until

we are funded. This will be subject to

a trial and vesting period.

• Salary: We are in the early stages of our journey and funding is limited, therefore remuneration will be

considered as part of the

bigger picture.
