I am a 30 year old with six years of managerial experience in a fast paced retail and rental equipment store. Currently working in the yacht industry, but eager to get back to marketing and customer service.

Two years ago my family and I decided to leave the island we call home and head towards a community that did not entirely revolve around tourism. This was a very difficult decision for me, as I absolutely loved living in such an incredible place so in touch with nature. Ocracoke Island was my home for over ten years but I knew that if I wanted to grow professionally and personally that I needed to make some changes. So we chose to move to a more accessible location, where there would be better access to jobs and opportunities (but I could not steer too far from the coast!) so we landed in Wilmington, NC!

I have spent the last two years exploring my various skills and learning as much as I can! I have expanded my photography business and working on yachts.

I have extensive managerial and customer service experience, which I earned during my six years managing a local surf shop within a fast paced tourism economy on a small North Carolina island. I oversaw a large scale retail store, equipment rental branch of the company and a surf camp! I learned how to be an effective leader to our employees by example in my treatment of customers. Customer service is extremely important and the relationships you create with customer interaction do make or break a company. I learned through my hands on experience what you could never learn reading a book or taking a test on the subject. I used every medium to communicate to our customer whether that be through social media, email, online booking software, over the phone or the classic face to face conversation. The company I managed is still a very successful and prosperous organization and highly sought after for their services.
