Description
Join our dynamic team at our company as we seek a passionate and driven Business Development Manager to lead our Business Development team. In this role, you’ll be a pivotal member of our Sales Leadership team, reporting directly to the head of sales. Your primary focus will be on optimizing processes and delivering high-quality leads to our sales team, while also nurturing and guiding your team towards exceeding monthly success metrics.
As the ideal candidate, you’ll thrive on challenges, possess a proven ability to elevate team performance, and be deeply metrics-oriented. Your responsibilities will include hiring, coaching, training, motivating, and evaluating team members, ensuring they consistently meet and exceed performance goals. You’ll have the opportunity to shape strategies and directly impact the success of our organization, taking pride in knowing your team’s efforts directly support our sales resources.
Responsibilities
- Interview, train, and manage a team of Business Development Representatives to effectively qualify leads.
- Provide strategic direction to the SDR/BDR team to align with sales objectives.
- Develop career progression plans for SDR/BDR team members and proactively plan for succession.
- Continuously evaluate and optimize the operations of the SDR/BDR team to improve efficiency without sacrificing quality.
- Establish and enforce best practices to drive consistent results.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing to provide feedback for enhancing campaigns that support lead generation.
- Engage with senior leadership to discuss feedback, best practices, and market trends to continually refine qualification approaches.
- Support decision-making with analytical insights and reporting.
- Attend industry events as needed (approximately 10% of the year).
Requirements
- Proven success in leading and managing teams of SDRs, BDRs, ISAs, or similar roles within a technology company.
- Demonstrated accountability and motivation in a measurable environment.
- Experience in data analysis and implementing insights.
- Adaptability and resilience in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in CRM tools, preferably Salesforce, and sales enablement software.
- Comprehensive understanding of outbound sales methodologies and processes.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
