Full Time
To ensure that Reception shifts are run efficiently, providing outstanding guest service, assisting Guest Service Agents and maintaining a calm, professional environment at all times
II. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
– Prepare documentation for daily business
– Ensure prompt, efficient and courteous reception of guests
– Record and administer arrivals and departures
– Assist in training new staff members, coach them and monitor their performance
– Ensure the desk is covered at all times, allocating meal breaks sensibly
– Full awareness of current daily status of Hotel
– Ensure smooth hand over to next shift
– Thoroughly conversant with all room types, décor and outlook
– Communication and recording of complaints
– Be aware of daily functions, events, VIP and group arrivals
– To carry out any other duties as required
– To ensure that no information regarding guest names, details or room numbers is given to unauthorized persons
– Ensure unidentified persons are not allowed access to guest rooms
– Report any accidents (guest or staff)
– To be fully aware of the Health & Safety Policy
– To be aware of fire and bomb procedures
– Take care in work to avoid accidents
– To wear correct uniform at all times and maintain standards of appearance, personal hygiene, behavior and discipline
– Report suspicious characters or suspect packages
– Security of payments
– Alert to fraud
– Ensure full liaison with other members of the team
– Strong communication with other departments, especially Reservations
– Strong relationship with guests and internal customers
– Key relationship with Front Office Manager and Asst.FOM
– Reporting of issues as they arise
– Completion of Progress Training & participation in Progress related activities
– Diligence in prevention of wastage
– Attend department meetings
– Be aware and report on competitor and industry updates
– Maintain Department standards
– Seek opportunities to upgrade or sell additional services to guests
Requirements
Qualifications
Education
– Bachelor’s Degree.
Experience
– Four years experience in as Front Office Supervisor/Shift Leader
– With good communication skills both oral and written, English and other languages
– Good inter-personal skills, pleasant appearance.
