My client based in Galway are currently looking for a Sales Manager to cover their team in Ireland/UK; they will lead a Sales Team and oversee Key Accounts to achieve sales targets and business objectives aligned with my clients strategy. This role entails travel within the designated territory.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute sales strategies and plans to foster sustainable business growth.
• Identify new opportunities, including new customers, products, and categories, while maintaining existing business relationships.
• Manage the Evolution Sales team by setting annual budgets, providing support through training and mentorship, and conducting regular performance reviews.
• Cultivate strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and delivering solutions that exceed expectations.
• Negotiate sales agreements and craft compelling proposals and tender documents.
• Deliver engaging presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations.
• Monitor and report on the sales pipeline versus budget, developing forecasts for production scheduling and budgeting purposes.
• Lead sales meetings and contribute to management discussions.
• Manage customer and market data using CRM and other sales tools.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless product and service delivery.
• Assist the Marketing team in developing marketing strategies, driving effective campaigns, and promoting brand awareness to increase market share.
• Assess team training needs and create career development opportunities.
• Drive continuous improvement in the sales process.
• Represent the company at networking events, trade exhibitions, and business conferences.
• Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities.
Desired Skills and Experience:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Science, or related fields is desirable.
• Minimum 5 years of sales management experience.
• Demonstrated personal success in sales.
• Proven ability in people management, building and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Knowledge of agricultural markets is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of technical products/services, with the ability to convey complex concepts concisely.
• Proficient in IT skills (MS Platforms, CRM, ERP, etc.).
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Effective time management and task prioritization skills.
• Experience in commercial marketing and merchandising.
