GENERAL INFORMATION

• Employment Type: Permanent
• Previous working experience: 10+ years of experience in software development
• Working hours: 40hrs/week
• Working Location: Hybrid/Berlin
• Reports to: Vice President Engineering Architecture
• Desired start date: As soon as possible

YOUR CHALLENGE AT WIRE

• Create and refine the architecture of Wire Integrations/Bots, the Wire SDK and the bot marketplace in collaboration with Wire’s Engineering teams
• On the short term, modify existing components (Java, REST API); on the long term, replace them with a tech stack to be defined together
• Investigate and propose technical solutions to address open questions
• Document architectural choices and protocols
• Implement solutions using a fitting tech stack (e.g. Java, Kotlin, Go, Rust, Typescript, …)
• Ensure high code quality, by adhering to industry standard best practices and coding guidelines
• Ensure a high quality of the solution by making use of unit, integration and end-2-end testing
• Proactively communicate blockers and concerns to stakeholders in a timely manner

Qualifications

• 10+ years of international experience in software development in various industry sectors
• Experience with both frontend and backend paradigms and challenges
• Knowledge of multiple programming languages and tech stacks, from mobile to backend
• Demonstrated track record of proactivity and independence in tackling problems and breaking down complex challenges in actionable tasks
• Motivated to learn new technologies and work with new platforms
