Senior Lead Aws Devops Engineer (Remote)

Based in Missoula, MT, are a well-established software company. We operate out of our Missoula office with a distributed engineering team. Due to growth, we are looking for a talented Senior DevOps Engineer to work remotely on MST hours. This is an exciting opportunity as we continue to grow and we look forward to meeting you.

The ideal candidate will have leadership experience at a startup or small company and experience leading distributed teams in projects and driving process. You will work with members in the EU and Vietnam.

What You Will Be Doing

• Develop, implement, and maintain scalable and automated infrastructure solutions using cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Deploy, configure, and manage EKS, Kubernetes clusters, and EC2.
• Architect, implement, and maintain a state-of-the-art CI/CD pipeline that enables seamless and expedited software delivery.
• Utilize tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC).
• Continuously enhance and optimize processes, tools, and technologies to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies for potential integration into the organization.
• Document designs, processes, projects, tools, standards, and techniques, ensuring that documentation remains relevant and up to date.

What You Need for this Position

5+ years of experience in the following:

• Small company or startup experience is a MUST**
• AWS
• CI/CD
• Ansible
• Kubernetes
• Jenkins
• EKS, EC2
• ArgoCD
• Terraform or CloudFormation
• Docker
• Elasticsearch
• PostgreSQL, MongoDB
• Agile methodologies
• Linux, Maven, Groovy, Bash
• Bachelor’s degree highly preferred
