Project Manager With Public Sector In Texas (Remote)

We are looking for a Project Manager with at least seven years of experience who is currently local to Texas and must have Public Sector experience. Your extensive experience will be invaluable in conducting software development activities such as creating and managing project delivery framework documents, managing tasks to extend and expand NBS functionality, and tracking budgets and hours to keep the project on the planned cost and schedule.

This role offers a high level of autonomy and trust, working with staff to initiate, sponsor, manage or participate in projects to maximize the success of multiple and diverse projects. You will work under limited direction, with the trust and confidence of the agency leadership, and extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

This position will perform senior-level consultative services and technical assistance work in project management for program-related activities. Work involves overseeing priority initiatives and managing special projects utilizing project management best practices in coordination with agency business and program units. Duties include planning, researching, coordinating, and evaluating project management implementation, assuring the use of best practices and standards, assisting in coordinating and optimizing operations and program functions, and providing recommendations.

This position coordinates numerous related initiatives and leads special projects as assigned by agency leadership. These responsibilities include developing project management tools, maintaining project management data on critical and major projects, reporting progress on key projects to executive/senior staff, providing recommendations regarding project management practices to agency leadership, and reporting the status of critical projects and accomplishments.
