Job Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and versatile Data Scientist to join our collaborative and fun-loving team. You must have strong communication skills, enjoy working in a collaborative space, and be highly skilled in executing data projects. You’ll be the second member of our Data Science team, playing a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of our models, optimizing forecasting algorithms, and delivering precise, actionable insights that directly enhance the value and reliability of solutions to customers.

Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed analysis of customer service operations data to extract actionable insights
• Develop and improve time series models to forecast case volume and staffing requirements
• Develop Forecasting features such as outlier detection, special events, custom trends
• Develop and improve statistical models to predict workforce staffing needs to ensure optimal resource allocation
• Create insightful data visualizations, charts, and reports for various stakeholders to support decision-making processes
• Work closely with our Lead data scientist, designer, and engineering team to integrate data-driven solutions into our SaaS platform

Required Skills and Experience:

• Experience working with time series data and extensive knowledge of data analytics libraries such as Numpy and Pandas
• Experience with forecasting models such as ARIMA, ARIMAX, NBEATS, RNNs and classical ML models such as XGBoost and linear regression
• Experience with time series libraries such as DARTS, NIXTLA and machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch
• Experience with data visualization libraries such as Dash/Plotly, Matplotlib, Seaborn
• Strong team player who can work collaboratively and iteratively
• Experience working in a polyglot persistence environment with relational (Postgres), time series (InfluxDB), Object Storage (GCS) and analytics (BigQuery) is a plus
• Experience with deep learning architectures such as transformers, RNNs, MLPs is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely
• 3+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or a related field

Education:

• A degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field
