Position Overview

As a Mortgage Loan Originator, you will be instrumental in guiding borrowers through the loan process. Your role will involve helping clients select the best loan program, completing loan applications, and gathering essential documentation such as pay stubs, tax returns, and bank statements. You will collaborate with appraisers, title officers, escrow officers, loan processors, and underwriters to ensure a smooth mortgage loan process.

Key Responsibilities

• Originate mortgage loans through self-generated efforts, corporate referrals, and other campaigns.
• Conduct interviews with applicants to understand their goals and recommend suitable loan products, terms, and pricing.
• Collect and analyze client documents, including income, assets, and credit information, to support mortgage loan applications.
• Take applications, perform preliminary reviews, and submit complete loan applications to processing and underwriting.
• Ensure timely collection of documents required for processing, underwriting, and closing.
• Engage in daily marketing activities with a goal of generating 4+ loans per month.
• Respond to customer inquiries and assist with their needs.
• Achieve both team and individual sales/production goals.

Requirements

• Valid NMLS License.
• 3-5 years of experience as an outside loan originator.
• High School diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple loans and priorities.
• Proficiency in analyzing complex financial data.
• Professional and effective interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards in all interactions.
