What you’ll do:

In this role, you’ll help design and build amazing web-based tools that help developers succeed. You’ll work on a top-notch user experience that impacts thousands of users and contributes directly to our mission.

About you:

• 5+ years of frontend engineering experience
• Proficient in TypeScript/JavaScript
• Experience with React, and have shipped at least one user-facing product in React
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs
• Some knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Passionate about building and shipping great products
• Strong empathy for customers and user experience
• Write high-quality code using best practices
• Collaborate effectively in a remote team environment
• Proactive about fixing things and suggesting improvements
• Fast-moving and iterative approach to development
• Not afraid to ask questions when stuck

Bonus points:

• Experience with Python
• Experience with Android or iOS development
• Experience building customer-facing products

What to expect in your first year:

• Month 1: Meet the team, get familiar with the codebase, ship your first project
• Months 1-3: Scope and work on projects independently, participate in code reviews, and contribute to improving the codebase
• Months 3-6: Contribute to technical direction and roadmap, ship major features, and become an expert in your team’s focus areas
• Months 6-12: Lead initiatives to improve reliability, scalability, and performance, and mentor new engineers
