We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our team! This role will develop and test data pipelines that will run in the cloud gathering data from third party APIs, and then transform, validate and deliver the data to our cloud hosted Snowflake data warehouse. The data engineer will work closely with the Analytics and Data Science team as they build and provide machine learning solutions for our clients, and the Engineering team charged with developing a client-facing platform. We are a small company with a strong collaborative ethic, so there will be opportunities to get involved with projects that will help expand your skillset and knowledge. Professionals who take the initiative, can work without a lot of supervision, can begin projects independently, and have good communication skills will excel in this position.
Note: This is a full-time position based remotely.
Your duties:
- Design, build, test and maintain data pipelines into Snowflake data warehouse
- Connect to and explore third party data APIs to determine what data we should collect to meet business needs
- Understand and follow data collect, update, and refresh guidelines from Data Science and Engineering teams
- Collaborate with engineers and analysts to identify opportunities and risks in data collection and storage
- Develop and maintain schema for data sources we rely on
You have:
- 3-4 years experience as a Data Engineer or similar role
- Solid experience with at least one modern programming language (Python, Scala, Java, Go, R)
- Solid experience using ETL software (DBT, Airflow, etc)
- Good relational database design and interaction experience (PostgreSQL or similar)
- Good experience using cloud computing platforms to build processes (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure)
- Familiarity with and experience using git or similar code versioning software
- Experience working on an agile team, coming up with requirements and ability to scope individual efforts
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and follow industry best practices in an ever-evolving field
Nice to have:
- Google Cloud Function, or AWS Lambda script development experience
- Snowflake data warehouse development experience
- Docker / Kubernetes experience
- BS or better in a quantitative (computer science, engineering, etc) field
- Test driven development, test automation, CI / CD experience
Additional qualities we’re looking for:
- Knowledge of or experience in the digital advertising and/or marketing field
- Self-starter, focused, organized, and eager to learn
- Excellent communications and presentation skills
- Collaborative mentality and the ability to ideate & develop new business solutions
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Outstanding time management skills

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $130,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
