Role & responsibilities
Data Engineer Power Automate
We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Engineer to join our growing team. You will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing the data movement processes for numerous source systems into a canonical search capability hosted in Azure Redis Cache. This position will involve leveraging Azure Power Automate to automate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors to ensure the successful delivery of this project which is part of a much larger transformation program.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and understand the structure, format, and volume of data from various source systems.
- Develop and implement data extraction strategies using Azure Power Automate to extract data from source systems.
- Design and implement data transformation logic within Azure Power Automate to cleanse, normalize, and enrich data before loading it into Azure Redis Cache.
- Configure Azure Power Automate to efficiently load transformed data into Azure Redis Cache, optimizing performance and scalability.
- Build Power Automate flows to trigger events and automate data processing pipelines between Microsoft D365 and Azure Redis Cache.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve performance issues related to caching and Power Automate integrations.
- Ensure data quality throughout the data movement process, implementing data validation and cleansing mechanisms.
- Create comprehensive documentation of data movement processes, including data flow diagrams, Power Automate workflows, and configuration details.
- Work closely with data architects, integration engineers, data quality engineers, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure alignment with the overall data architecture.
Preferred candidate profile
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing and data lake concepts.
- Proficiency in data modeling and database design.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft D365, including workflows, APIs, and data integration strategies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power Automate (formerly Flow) for automating business processes and integrating applications.
- Strong expertise in Azure services, particularly Azure Redis Cache, API Management, and Azure Logic Apps.
- Proficiency in GitHub and GitHub Actions.
- Experience with Azure Log Analytics Kusto Query Language (KQL).
- Experience with data quality and validation techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
