Founded in 2008, Pivotal Point supports the Federal Government and Businesses with professional services in Program/Project Management; Critical Infrastructure Maintenance and Operations Support Services; Inside Plant Services; Network Engineering; Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) Engineering; VoIP Maintenance and Operations Services; IT and Telecommunications Asset and Inventory Management; and Business Process Analysis and Consulting Services.
Position Overview:
The Project Manager will act as the primary point of contact for the Agency concerning contract and operational needs and issues. This individual will possess the authority to make management-level decisions regarding the contract and will be responsible for providing direction to teams, managing the overall project work plan, and ensuring that business strategies and technology development are met. The Project Manager will oversee cross-functional teams, understand business users’ needs, and work closely with customers to define program and project goals, plans, and reports. This role requires interfacing with senior management and managing all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Primary Point of Contact: Serve as the main liaison between the Agency and the project team, addressing contract and operational needs and issues.
- Team Direction: Provide clear and effective direction to project teams to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
- Project Work Plan Management: Prepare and manage the overall project work plan, ensuring that timelines, milestones, and deliverables are met.
- Strategic Planning: Plan, organize, monitor, and oversee staff to meet business strategies and technology development goals.
- Cross-Functional Team Management: Lead and manage cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive and efficient project execution.
- Business and Technical Understanding: Understand the needs of business users as well as development and service support areas to ensure project alignment with business objectives.
- Customer Collaboration: Work closely with customers to define program and project goals, develop plans, and generate reports.
- Senior Management Interface: Interface with senior management to provide updates, address concerns, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Project Development and Implementation: Oversee all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects, ensuring successful delivery.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
- Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level: 2
- Information Assurance (IA) Certification: PMP (Project Management Professional)
- Agile Methodologies: Proficiency in Agile, Kanban, and Scrum Master practices.
- Backlog Management: Experience in backlog creation and refinement.
- Sprint Planning: Expertise in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management or a related role.
- Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale projects and cross-functional teams.
