What You Will Do On Our Sales Team

  • Deliver sales growth and profitability targets for Petco account
  • Work directly with the team pet specialty team lead to drive brand, channel and account specific initiates
  • Develop and execute omnichannel strategies and growth plans
  • Build customer relationships at the buyer and Divisional Merchandising Manager (DMM) levels and facilitate connectivity in other functional areas
  • Drive distribution, shelving, pricing and promotion strategy to optimize sales performance and trade spend efficiency
  • Lead account strategy development and implementation to identify and capture new and/or emerging opportunities
  • Develop strong relationships internally and lead cross functional collaboration to drive the most efficient ways of working with PSB support teams
  • Monitor account and customer performance and address opportunities as they occur
  • Develop and execute individual retail partner account promotional plans and activities
  • Manage and enforce PSB MRP policy and pricing
  • Negotiate and manage new programs, trade funds and terms
  • Work with demand planning to develop accurate sales forecasts and achieve specified levels of forecast accuracy

Requirements

  • Must have a proven track record of success with Petco
  • Minimum 8 years of sales experience or employment with Petco
  • Must already have a strong established relationship across the buying teams and cross functional teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related
  • Ecommerce experience and track record of success a must
  • Previous Category Management or Category Insights experience also a plus
  • Proficiency with MS Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with and firm understanding of syndicated data (Nielsen/IRI) and how to use it to close
  • Firm understanding of and comfort navigating Petco internal reporting systems, and processes.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% overnight travel
