Senior Pension Consultant – Fully Remote Role
We are looking for an experienced Pensions Consultant to join our homebased DB consulting team. If you’re the type of person who wants to join a team managing and advising a portfolio of corporate and trustee clients – this could be the role for you!
Job Description:
What will you deliver?
- Develop excellent relationships with client portfolios and understand their needs and objectives
- Makes a significant personal contribution to the development of the team’s consulting capability, collateral, and people
- Able to effectively communicate complex and technical issues to clients and colleagues
- Identifies solutions and risks for clients based upon an expert understanding of their situation and relevant technical, regulatory and statutory requirements
- Maintains a client focus and concern for quality, which manifests itself in a high degree of client satisfaction and client/business retention
- Assists Head of DB Consulting & Scheme Management in achieving its practice objectives.
What are we looking for?
- DB Pensions experience in a client-facing role can include Scheme Events, GMP Equalisation, Buy In/Outs, Scheme Wind Up
- You will have covered some or all of, the scheme secretarial work, DB pensions projects, Consulting or actuarial project work
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Key responsibilities
- Develop excellent relationships with client portfolios and understand their needs and objectives
- Ensures regular contact with all clients within the portfolio
- Makes a significant personal contribution to the development of the team’s consulting capability, collateral, and people
- Able to effectively communicate complex and technical issues to clients and colleagues
- Maintains and develops a breadth of knowledge about all the services offered by the business and a complete understanding of those offered by the Practice
- Produces advice to checking/peer review level on strategic/major issues that could result in substantial business risk.
Essential
Experience, qualifications, and key skills
- Previous industry specific experience, particularly pensions
- Knowledge of benefits legislation
- High level of English language skills
- Proficient in all relevant IT packages including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Proactive
- Works positively with colleagues
- General business understanding
Desirable
- Technical pension qualification (PMI)
