CrossFit is looking to hire a Sr. Manager of Customer Insights who is passionate about using data to decode human behavior and drive impactful product decisions. If you have a deep empathy for consumers, a strong analytical mindset, and a love for fitness, this role is for you.
In this role, you will blend traditional customer insights skills with advanced product analytics, using various data sources to shape how we understand our customers and create exceptional experiences for them. You’ll be a key strategic partner across the organization, advocating for a data-driven approach to product development and customer engagement.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Own customer insights: Be the point person for all things related to customer insights, including conducting surveys, interviews, and focus groups to understand our diverse customer base—gym owners, coaches, members, elite athletes, and more.
  • Design data-driven experiments: Collaborate with product managers and marketers to design experiments that test new ideas. Advise on statistical significance, sample sizes, and experiment duration.
  • Analyze data for actionable insights: Utilize tools like SQL, Python, or R to extract insights from our data warehouse. Apply statistical methods to interpret results and present clear, actionable conclusions.
  • Create and maintain an insights repository: Ensure that customer insights are well-documented and accessible to the organization, making sure findings are both actionable and impactful.
  • Measure and improve customer satisfaction: Track customer happiness and proactively identify areas for improvement to enhance their experience with our products and services.
  • Develop customer personas: Create detailed customer profiles and personas to guide product development, marketing, and overall business strategy.
  • Conduct competitive intelligence: Analyze competitors’ products, marketing strategies, and customer experiences to identify opportunities for CrossFit to differentiate itself in the market.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner closely with Product, Technology, Marketing, and other departments to ensure customer feedback is central to product and business decisions.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL:
  • Customer Research Expertise: Proven ability to lead and execute customer research initiatives (surveys, interviews, focus groups).
  • Data Analytics: Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or other analytics tools with a strong grasp of statistical methods and experimental design.
  • Data Visualization: Expertise in visualizing data through tools like Sigma, Tableau, or equivalent, translating complex insights into easy-to-understand formats for stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, designers, and researchers.
  • Experimental Design: Strong understanding of A/B testing, multivariate experiments, and metrics for success.

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Analytics and Customer Insights
  • 5+ years of experience collaborating with product, engineering, design, and user research teams
