What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Prepare and analyze monthly reports, collaborating with staff to address findings
- Manage back-end edit findings and coordinate necessary corrections in patient records
- Receive and follow up on requests for information, ensuring timely resolution of errors
- Oversee the internal collections process, including patient communication and payment plan setup
- Turn over defaulted accounts to management within 45 days
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- High school diploma or equivalent with a business emphasis
- 3-5 years of previous experience in a specialty billing area
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to customer service
- Proficiency in computer operations, including data input and retrieval
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience in healthcare billing or collections
- Familiarity with Mysis or similar billing software
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
