Job Description

Manage construction specialties business line (Paint & Coating/Building/Asphalt) in Malaysia.

From complexity: Learning Cellulose Ethers, surfactants for Paint applications, building applications and surfactants for Asphalt applications.

Growth Potential-

1. Grow business as per business strategy in next 3 years

2. Explore & grow Asphalt in territory & PCI in Paint & coating.

For the assigned territory/ Segment, under the direction of the Team lead/sales manager Construction Specialties, assist with achieving business segment’s goal by:

  • Developing business with existing customers
  • Identifying and developing business with new prospects
  • Define and assess new market opportunities.
  • Execute effective margin management, e.g., increase lot sizes, take out handling costs, timely execute price changes.
  • Maintain liaison with other regions with respect to global accounts.

About the job (Job Responsibilities):

  • Effective team management, product management and market analysis.

Lead Construction Specialty with in allocated Geography .

  • Build and maintain a network of business contacts with Technical teams at customers as well as Industry expert consultants.
  • Follow the Nouryon Business Principles and Code of Conduct when doing business in a responsible and ethical manner
  • Drive & Promote strong customer orientation through flexible and focused service and support
  • Drive team for achieving/meeting sales targets as well as receivables.
  • Work closely with Technical and marketing teams to develop New applications / business opportunities along with optimizing service levels, product mix and pricing .
  • Prepare business development plan for construction specialties business.
  • Manage and maintain 10-10-5-5 in CRM
  • Drive team for Arkieva inputs and aim for improving forecast accuracy

We believe you bring (Education & Experience):

  • Theoretical qualifications and practical experience .
  • Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5 years of sales in Construction chemicals industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Multicultural background with insight in different cultures is an advantage.
