Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced AS400 Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in IBM iSeries AS400 systems, RPG programming, and experience in managing software development life cycles. The role involves working on projects across healthcare and insurance, leveraging AS400 to drive system modernization and business solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead development, enhancement, and support of AS400 applications, including RPG, RPGLE, CL, CLLE, and DB2/400.
• Translate business requirements into functional design and technical implementation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, business analysts, and key stakeholders, to deliver solutions.
• Manage end-to-end project life cycles, including development, testing, UAT, and go-live.
• Handle system modernization projects and work with integration tools like SOAP UI, Rest APIs, and LANSA.
• Perform data migration and modernization support, ensuring smooth transitions between AS400 systems and external platforms like Microsoft CRM.
• Lead Agile/Scrum processes for the development teams, including sprint planning and managing backlogs.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring team members and ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Support in troubleshooting and resolving production issues in a timely manner.
• Participate in pre-sales activities such as estimation, proposal preparation, and customer interfacing.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in AS400 development and system support, with strong knowledge of RPG, RPGLE, CL, DB2/400, and SQLRPGLE.
• Hands-on experience with data migration, integration, and modernization of AS400 systems.
• Expertise in tools like Aldon, Turnover, JIRA and DevOps pipelines.
• Knowledge of Web Services (SOAP/Rest), JSON, XML, and EDI standards.
• Familiarity with LANSA, COBOL 400, JavaScript, and DevOps tools.
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
• Experience in finance, insurance, retail, and supply chain management domains.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
