Senior Ui Ux Designer (Remote)

We are looking for an exceptionally skilled and experienced Senior UI/UX Designer with a strong background in designing eCommerce platforms and websites. You will lead the design efforts to create seamless, engaging, and user-centered web and mobile experiences for our clients. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of UI/UX principles, web and mobile design trends, and experience in delivering world-class eCommerce platforms. Responsibilities:

• Lead the design of web and mobile applications, with a strong focus on eCommerce and website usability.
• Develop wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and user flows that enhance the user experience and drive engagement.
• Conduct user research, gather feedback through usability testing, and iterate designs to ensure optimal user experiences.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver top-quality design solutions.
• Build and maintain design systems to ensure consistency across all projects.
• Work closely with eCommerce teams to optimize user journeys, enhance product discoverability, and improve conversion rates.
• Stay updated on the latest UI/UX trends and tools, especially as they relate to eCommerce and web design.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to team growth and improvement.
• Ensure all design projects are completed on time, with attention to detail and quality.
• Present design concepts and rationale to clients and stakeholders clearly and convincingly.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer with a strong focus on eCommerce and website design (Portfolio required).
• Expertise in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar tools.
• Proficiency in wireframing, prototyping, and conducting user testing (tools like InVision, Marvel, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of user-centered design principles, responsive design, and eCommerce best practices.
• Experience with eCommerce platforms like Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, or similar is a plus.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and front-end development processes (coding experience is an advantage but not required).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of working closely with developers and product teams.
• Experience designing for conversion optimization and enhancing user journeys on eCommerce platforms.
• Solid understanding of accessibility and web performance best practices.
• Ability to handle multiple projects at once and manage design projects independently.

Preferred but not required:

• Experience in SaaS, or similar industries.
• Understanding of motion design and micro-interactions.
• Experience leading design workshops and mentoring junior designers.

Portfolio Requirement:

• Please share your portfolio showcasing your eCommerce and website design projects. We are especially interested in seeing examples of user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes that demonstrate your approach to UI/UX design.

Salary range:

From 150k to 200k LKR based on the experience and interview results
