Position Overview:

We are looking for a talented Lead User Interface Designer to guide our UI design initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for creating visually compelling and user-friendly interfaces that enhance our users’ journey on the Buddy Deals platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our product is not only functional but also delightful to use.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design Leadership: Oversee the UI design process, ensuring that our platform is visually engaging and user-centric.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with UX designers, product managers, and developers to align on user needs and business objectives, translating them into effective design solutions.
• Prototyping and Wireframing: Develop high-fidelity prototypes, wireframes, and detailed design specifications to effectively communicate design concepts.
• Design System Development: Create and maintain a cohesive design system that ensures consistency across the Buddy Deals platform.
• User Testing and Feedback: Conduct user testing sessions to gather feedback, iterating on designs based on user insights to enhance overall experience.
• Team Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior designers, promoting a culture of creativity and collaboration within the design team.
• Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and user preferences to inform design decisions and keep our platform innovative.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 5+ years of UI design experience, preferably in e-commerce or deal-based platforms, with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant projects.
• Skills: Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and experience with prototyping tools.
• Understanding of User Experience: Strong grasp of UX principles and methodologies, with a passion for creating user-centered designs.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting ideas and designs effectively to stakeholders.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead design projects and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
