Job Description

The Field Service Representative (FSR) performs various maintenance, commissioning, operation, and troubleshooting tasks at Veolia WTS water treatment plants. They report to the area manager and determine their main tasks with them. The FSR maintains continuous contact with customers and informs them about the condition of our equipment. They monitor the fulfilment of contractual obligations and prepare reports. They pay close attention to safe work practices.

The position involves frequent travel within the region. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.

• Acts as a local technical advisor, maintaining contact with customers and customer representatives.

• Provides on-site service and other support and advice.

• Coordinates processes with the regional field service manager / management / lead FSRs.

• Performs water analysis and/or collects samples to send to the designated laboratory for analysis.

• Prepares and sends out site reports based on work performed on-site.

• Troubleshoots and repairs pumps, instruments, and control panels.

• Calibrates instruments (pH, conductivity, flow metre, ORP, etc.).

• Performs preventive maintenance at water treatment plants (UF, RO, EDI, pumps, motors, chemical dosing pumps, controllers, and instruments).

• Maintains spare parts inventory (lubricating oil, pipes, hoses, filters, etc.) and ensures proper parts supply through the ordering system.

• Forwards customer feedback to the commercial and/or technical department.

• Makes suggestions to improve the efficiency of the plants.

• Conducts training for customers and other personnel to prepare them for safe and efficient operation of BOO/Mobile equipment when the FSR is not on-site.

• Conducts training for company employees on various on-site technologies and activities performed in the FSR role.

Qualifications

• Appropriate science, engineering, or technical degree. Preferred or equivalent knowledge and experience.

• Knowledge from mechanical-based practice or on-site maintenance experience.

• Chemical engineering level or equivalent knowledge and experience.

• Fluent in English, German, and Hungarian.

• Experience in operating / maintaining water treatment equipment.

• Experience in mechanical maintenance.

• Category “B” driver’s licence.

• Willingness to travel, flexibility.

• Work experience in an industrial environment.

• Knowledge of safe work systems (permits, JSA).

• Experience in a similar position.
