ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM

Manages and delivers the overall Test Strategy as defined by the business in a specific project or program. The role is part of the Quality Engineering practice supporting and driving quality across all the Agile Engineering teams. The aim is to automate and embed quality every step of the lifecycle, supporting and encouraging Testers to perform at their best.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Creates and obtains approval of and maintains the test strategy test plan and reviews the test plan coverage.
Champions appropriate standards ensuring continual developments of end-to-end process for all quality areas to include: software development life cycle QA work product deliverables product templates and escalation processes.
Mentors and coaches a group of less experienced QA staff ensuring they have the skills and knowledge in order to perform their roles.
Elicits and manges Risk.
Provides authoritative advice and guidance on any aspect of test planning, quality standards and execution.

Qualifications:

ABOUT YOUR SKILLS:

Minimum of 8 years experience in a Software Development or Testing environment of which 3 years were spent as a QA Manager including experience with current software testing methodologies functional testing integration testing and user acceptance testing
Experience of automation testing is desirable. Knowledge of Messaging, APIs and networking advantageous.
University degree or equivalent preferably in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics or similar.
ISEB Intermediate qualification or recognised country-specific qualification desirable.
