About Project GameChangers:
Project GameChangers is a transformative initiative designed to empower 100 young women from both urban and rural areas in India through Ultimate Frisbee. By fostering leadership and coaching skills, these women will take charge of their communities, promoting inclusivity, teamwork, and personal development through sport. The project is a collaborative effort between Ultimate Peace and India Ultimate, supported by the U.S. Department of State.
Position Summary:
Project GameChangers seeks two full-time Regional Operations Managers who will be responsible for overseeing the smooth implementation of the program in their respective regions. These individuals will be the key point of contact for partner NGOs, manage the operational logistics of the leadership training and community sports sessions, and ensure strong communication and reporting between the young women participants (Coaches-in-Training or CITs) and the core project team. Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, education, sports management, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in project management, operations, or community development roles, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
- Experience working with NGOs or grassroots organisations in India, especially in rural and urban contexts.
- Strong organisational and communication skills, with an ability to manage multiple tasks and partners simultaneously.
- Passion for empowering young women and using sports as a tool for social change.
- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in both English and local languages of the region.
Additional Skills:
- Familiarity with Ultimate Frisbee or a willingness to learn.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with young participants and community leaders.
- Experience with digital tools for managing online sessions and communications.
Employment Details:
- Start date for this position is 7th October, 2024 (Mon).
- Full-time position, 9-month contract with the possibility of extension based on performance and project needs.
- Women will be preferred for this position, but all are welcome to apply.
- Remuneration will be based on experience.
