We”re seeking a Python/ Databricks Engineer to join the team working on a project for a major financial institution in the Dutch market.

Project Scope

• Development of software and business processes based on Python/Databricks technologies at a major financial institution in the Dutch market
• Work in the DevOps block (Scrum Team) on developing and maintaining good quality and future proof IT solutions
• Follow clean and secure coding practices
• Propose solutions to existing challenges and new requirements
• Educating yourself with the right technical capabilities and the latest innovations
• Actively participating in knowledge-gaining and sharing by joining communities and events. Furthermore, focus on proper knowledge dissemination across the teams, pushing the limits of our technology and focusing on holistic solutions.
• You are open to feedback on your code and open to learn from peers and your Chapter Lead

Competence Demands

• Higher education in IT or technical-related or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience in Python
• Technical knowledge of Azure Databricks including CI/CD, PySpark, and Integration of Azure Services
• Experience with Azure Bicep, Azure ARM, and/ or Terraform (infra as a code)
• Basics in Databases and SQL
• Understanding of Object Oriented Programming and Design Patterns
• Understanding of algorithms and data structures
• English: min B2
• Nice to have: knowledge of Kubernetes, basic knowledge of Java 11+, Linux shell scripting, PowerShell scripting
